DEAN'S MESSAGE

Anthony Crowell

To the NYLS community,

Since its founding, New York Law School has demonstrated an enduring commitment to civic engagement and public discourse that has shaped the Law School’s identity and empowered numerous graduates to pursue a meaningful career in the public sector. Building on the School’s rich history, NYLS is proud to continue to inspire the next generation of lawyers and leaders to pursue public service and make a difference in our city, state, and country. Today, that commitment is more evident than ever with the Law School’s critical work leading dialogues on law, government, and public policy as well as impactful programs and initiatives related to public interest law.

In this digital issue of our School’s magazine, I’m proud to share with you a look at the past, present, and future of our community’s longstanding ties with government and exceptional impact through public interest law. We also spotlight our faculty’s achievements in their scholarship, thought leadership, and service to the profession in addition to highlighting our accomplished alumni. You’ll also find a review of many of the notable campus events from the last semester and the latest edition of Class Notes.
