NYLS’s mayoral Law and Leadership series continued on April 28, with Andrew Yang. Mr. Yang delivered an address on New York’s affordable housing crisis. Following the address, Dean Anthony W. Crowell moderated a question-and-answer session with four student leaders.
The students asked Mr. Yang questions on topics including lessons learned during his path to leadership, the expansion of the right to counsel in eviction cases, his proposal to use data to address homelessness, how his $1-billion basic income plan will be implemented, how to balance bringing new businesses and jobs to the city while ensuring that local communities benefit, and more.
